Agricultural Polytechnic, Somasila   was temporarily established on 3.8.2012 at Agricultural Polytechnic, Podalakur campus. The Polytechnic is about 85 km away from Nellore and 45 km from Atmakur towns of SPSR Nellore district and is well connected by the National highway 5, connecting Calcutta to Chennai.
